the domain (custom web address) that they are logging in to. The administrator of your account can define a folder structure on your File Server with varying read/write/delete access permissions. Also, you can invite suppliers, customers, business partners to share data with complete control over their access rights.

Data transfer security

All communications with Egnyte - continuous data backup, access via the web browser or via desktop, is encrypted using 128-bit AES encryption over SSL. This ensures that no "sniffers" can be deployed on the internet traffic between you and Egnyte. Unlike email based communication, most of which flows unprotected over the internet, your communication with Egnyte is completely protected.

Physical security & disaster recovery

Egnyte servers are hosted at a tier-1, SAS 70 compliant collocation facility that features 24-hour manned security, biometric access control, video surveillance and physical locks. Egnyte ensures that all your data is secure by having redundant independent storage units using RAID.
